You can enrol for each component as you like and when it suits you. Clinical blocks, the advance symposia and the final examinations are held on specific dates during the year but you can always defer the diploma and pick another block to suit next year.

The clinical blocks enable you to perform surgery directly, assist and plan all under direct expert faculty. The Institute works as a group to ensure consistency and best practice for all students. Each block includes online live education with diagnosis and planning sessions. Patients, students and faculty then meet at convenient locations to perform treatment and follow up as appropriate. RPL is relevant prior courses and certified CDP education related to dental implantology. Each application is treated individually and there is a small charge for reviewing applications. Applicants will normally be given a number of credits towards the diploma and possible exemption form examinations.

Absolutely, the Advance Symposia are one day stand-alone meetings with workshops. These cover highly topical fields in a broad way covering different techniques, treatments and materials in an unbiased independent manner.

You must be recognised by AHPRA as a full registered dental practitioner to enrol on the clinical blocks. We would suggest two years post qualification. The clinical blocks are held at least 8 times per year, usually over weekends in convenient locations around Australia and New Zealand to suit students and their patients. Students identify their own patients in clinical practice and work these patients up through the pre-block sessions. Prospective students sometimes ask about the suitability and availability for patients. We have used this method for over ten years. It provides the best way of delivering whole patient care and all students can identify patients.
